Project Smile raises critical funding to ensure children in the Poudre School District receive the dental care they need to stay healthy, learn, and thrive.
Children often miss school due to persistent oral pain and pervasive conditions such as tooth decay, gum inflammation, and dental trauma. These oral health problems can interfere with their overall sleep quality and general well-being, which hinders their ability to concentrate and pursue academic success. Project Smile removes financial and access barriers by connecting children to screenings, urgent treatment, follow-up care, and ongoing dental services.
The program began in 2006 in Fort Collins, offering school screenings, transportation, and necessary dental treatment. After a pandemic pause, it transferred to Salud due to our strong history of school-based care and commitment to serving all children in need.
